So, here are some things you are going to want to do right quick and or stop doing on Instagram to avoid your ideal clients clicking away and instead start clicking on your service.

CLEAR NICHE

Put yourself in the mind of your ideal client. When they read your bio do they know what you do and how you can help them? Do you have a call to action leading them to your site and a way to connect with you?

TELL US YOUR NAME

I know that sounds simple but I see it a lot. I get it. You were focused on your brand name and it slipped your mind but how will people connect if they don’t know how to address you?

BOLD TITLE

On a business page, you have the option to put a bold title right under your profile picture. People can see this when they search for you. Write your business title here so anyone can see exactly what you do before they even click on your profile. Make it easy for them to connect and you will stand out.

FOLLOWERS VS FOLLOWING

Keep your following number equal to or less than your followers. I know it sounds superficial but it makes a first impression. You don’t want people wondering why others didn’t want to follow you back.

PHOTOS & GRAPHICS

Try to choose a theme for all your graphics and include your handle on each one! Post-professional-looking photos, including your profile photo. I’m not saying they all need to be professionally taken and perfectly polished. I just don’t want to see the blade of grass in your backyard on your business page.
